The Concert of Christmas Music

Members probably already know that the Concert of Christmas Music held in December raised £700 for Music and the Deaf. May I thank all who helped to make the event such a success, the stewards, all who worked in the coffee bar, prepared and printed the posters and tickets, sold tickets, and supported on the night, and those who I am sure have not been mentioned. The Lawnswood Singers readily agreed to appear again next Christmas, and Christchurch is already booked for Friday December 12th make a note in your diary now. Thanks again most sincerely,

Margaret's Message.

One of the biggest hurdles of my year is now over, I know from all the telephone calls and from what members have told me, it has been an enjoyable charter.

I have just returned from a most enjoyable conference at Blackpool. My first, and I have lots of good memories to look back on, but more if this at the April meeting. I will say the weather was very good and Blackpool was getting ready for the summer months. Thinking of summer, Pam will be putting her 'Help' board around at the meeting for our afternoon tea on Saturday 24th May, please also keep thinking about items to sell on the 50p and £1 stall, remember it is Spring bank holiday weekend and hopefully Ilkley will have lots of visitors and so will our afternoon tea.

Get cooking now and bring us some interesting items for each of us to taste at the next meeting,. Remember also to supply a few copies of the recipe for members to purchase.
