Welcome to the official Web-site of The Rotary Club of Ilkley. The Club was formed in 1937 and currently has over 50 members with a President; President-Elect; President-Nominee; Secretary and Treasurer as its elected officers, who together with six elected councillors act as an executive body.

Situated in West Yorkshire, the town is some 210 miles north of London and about 15 miles from Leeds and  12 miles from Bradford.

Ilkley has a population of approximately 25,000,

and lies on the River Wharfe and on the side of Rombald's Moor, part of the Pennine Range of hills forming "The Backbone of England". The Cow and Calf Rocks" above the town are a famous landmark

The town, which is Roman in. origin (name Olicana) developed largely in Victorian times (I9C ) with Hydropathic Establishments where patrons undertook 

"The Cure" of various hot and cold water treatments utilising pure Moor waters.

Today the town is a vibrant place to reside with many activities and is a favoured tourist location in its own right as well as being accessible to the wonders of the world famous Yorkshire Dales.

The song "On Ilkley Moor Baht'at" (without Hat) is world

famous but we do not feel obliged to sing it to you!
